CBD oil does not have THC, which makes it very safe for human use. Also, the lack of THC means that the compound doesn’t have any psychoactive effects on the body as well.

History of CBD/Hemp oil

It is believedthat the cultivation of hemp beganmore than 10,000 years ago in South-East Asia. Researchers also believethat hempmight be the first agricultural crop to be grown, which served as the foundation of sustainable civilization. The discovery of the medicinal qualities of hempis not new either. There are documents dated as back as 2737 B.C. that suggest hempbeing used by the Chinese as a medicinal herb.

While hemp was not originally cultivatedin the United States, it was brought to the United States in the 1600s by Spanish traders. By 1800s most of the states of the United States started cultivating this plant. Also, the medicinal uses of the plant were increasingly becoming popular among the people of the United States. However, in the 1900s the use of hemp and marijuana was prohibited in most parts of the United States, because of the intoxicating effect it had on the body.

Then it was in the 1940s when a chemist discovered cannabidiol or CBD, which is what led to the legalization of CBD in the United States. The legalization was mainly due to the non-psychoactive effects and the lack of THC that makes sure you only enjoy the benefits of cannabis without worrying about any side effects. These benefits associated with CBD has led the governments to legalize the medicinal and recreational use of CBD.

  1. I’m not sure that there’s anything special about CBD oil in particular when it comes to quitting smoking. I think it mostly helped those people quit because they were replacing smoking with vaping CBD oil. But hey, CBD oil is a great thing to vape, so I don’t see a problem with it. It’s probably even better than vaping e-juice because it doesn’t have nicotine in it, so you’ll actually be able to get rid of your nicotine addiction.
