Pushed For Time? Make Exercise Suit Your Schedule

One of the common complaints amongst those who don’t exercise is that they don’t have enough time. Whilst others would argue that it’s not difficult to carve 30 minutes out of your day for the gym, it is tough to fit everything in. Early starts, late finished, not to mention family and social commitments, you start to realize how tough it is for some of us to find time to exercise. And when we do eventually have an hour free? Chances are you won’t want to put on your workout gear and head to the gym. So what are the alternatives…

Mix Exercise And Pleasure

One way you can make sure you get exercise into your routine is to combine it with something else. A catch up with friends is the perfect way to kill two birds with one stone. Catching up doesn’t have to be over coffee. Instead, head to your local tennis courts or go for a bike ride. Even a walk is a good way to socialize and exercise. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the only worthwhile exercise you can do is in the gym.

HIIT

High-intensity interval training is hugely popular because it can be done quickly. It appeals to the modern day person who has a job, a family, and a friendship group to juggle. The idea is to push yourself to your absolute limit for short bursts. So you’ll work really hard but in a short space of time. You can do these workouts at home by watching online videos, in the park, or in the gym.

Workout At Home

Working out at home is another good way to squeeze some exercise in. Even if you only have ten minutes you can fit in some lunges, ski-sits, and planks. You don’t need any exercise to work at a home, but investing in some will make your workouts more versatile. Take a look at some reviews online to find the best adjustable dumbbells, yoga mats, and exercise balls. These will all give you the flexibility to perform lots of different workouts.

Turn Errands Into Exercise

Make some simple changes to your routine that make you more active. Instead of commuting to work every day, try running or walking if it’s possible. You can fit all your essential into a backpack or a fanny pack and you could even save time! Similarly, run to the shops rather than getting the subway. Cycling is also great if you have a longer distance to travel. Just remember to pack some workout gear in your backpack to change into after work.

As always, happy lifting!
